Stera develops sustainability where the impacts are created: at factories, in supply chains, in material choices, in energy use, and in people’s daily lives.
Our target is to halve the carbon footprint of our own operations from the 2019 by 2030 and increase the transparency of the value chain.
Sustainability is also reflected in how we care for people, ensure occupational safety and quality, and uphold fair operating practices. For us, quality means meeting customer requirements, reliable deliveries, and continuous development.

Sustainability goals
Stera’s sustainability work emphasizes employee well-being and competence development, customer satisfaction, and sustainable development.
Sustainable development consists of ecological, economic, social, and cultural sustainability. Therefore, we consider the environment, people, and the economy in everything we do.
Stera is committed to the UN Global Compact initiative. Our operations are based on the goals of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development We have selected the six most essential ones for our operations.
EcoVadis
Stera received a bronze medal in the international EcoVadis sustainability assessment in January 2025. The bronze level is awarded to only 35% of the assessed companies.
The assessment supports the development of sustainability work. It also helps monitor progress in the areas of environment, labor practices, ethical business, and sustainable sourcing. Our next target is the EcoVadis silver level.
